The Network are seeking an NV2 cleared Windows Engineer to support a critical Federal Government capability based in Canberra.

Contract: 6 months + 2 x 12-month extensions

Location: Canberra ACT (primarily onsite at Deakin - remote work may be considered)

Clearance: NV2 (mandatory)

Closing date: 14 January 2026

As a Windows Engineer, you will support and sustain a newly deployed ICT capability critical to operational outcomes. You will design, develop, and maintain Windows-based software components, automate installation processes, and support fault diagnosis across complex deployed environments. Working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, you will provide technical advice, contribute to continuous improvement, and ensure solutions are fully documented and integrated with interfacing systems.

Who are we looking for:

Must have:

  • Active NV2 security clearance
  • Advanced practitioner experience in Windows system software engineering
  • Strong experience with automation for software installation and deployment
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving system faults in complex environments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams
  • Strong documentation skills and experience integrating systems

Desirable:

  • Exposure to Linux-based environments
  • Experience supporting incident management or monitoring systems
  • Background in highly secure government environments
