Production Support Team Member
Location: Canberra (Onsite - secure customer environment)
Security Clearance: Active NV2 required
Employment Type: 6 month contract with mulitple 12 month extension
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Support Team Member to support a large, mission-critical Defence records and document management environment. This role sits within a specialist production support team responsible for the ongoing operation, development, and integration of the Objective EDRMS platform across complex enterprise systems.
You will work closely with technical leads and architects to design, build, support, and continuously improve Objective environments running across Windows, Solaris, and Oracle platforms. This is a hands-on technical role operating in a highly secure, high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and maintain Development and Test environments
Deploy, configure, and support Objective application releases
Perform database configuration and data remediation activities
Develop and maintain installation guides, run books, and operational documentation
Investigate, analyse, and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments
Support change, release, configuration, incident, and problem management processes
Participate in 24x7 on-call support for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents
Meet contracted KPIs and SLAs for incident, request, and problem management
Provide advice on system capacity, availability, performance, security, and disaster recovery
Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience (Highly Desirable)
Experience as an Application Support Administrator in Windows, Solaris, and/or Oracle environments
Enterprise-scale infrastructure build, administration, and support experience
Strong understanding of ITIL-aligned service management practices
Experience supporting or administering Objective EDRMS (or similar enterprise records systems)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, high-performing team
Proven ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation
Technical Capabilities
Automation using PowerShell, Bash/ksh, and SQL
Strong SQL skills (Oracle preferred)
Release and deployment experience in controlled, change-managed environments
Configuration management and complex troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Microsoft Office
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience)
ITIL Foundation certification (preferred)
Australian Citizenship
Active NV2 Security Clearance (mandatory)
