Business Analyst - NV1 Cleared (National Opportunity)
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a high-profile Federal Government program focused on assessing scientific and ICT systems within a specialised operational environment.
This is a national opportunity, open to candidates across Australia, with a requirement for current NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory).
About the Role
You will play a key role in analysing and documenting business processes, system requirements, and support models across a complex ICT and scientific environment.
Working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, you will deliver clear, structured outputs to support informed decision-making and future capability planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage stakeholders to define scope, requirements, and expected outcomes
- Capture and document business processes across ICT and scientific systems
- Analyse system support arrangements, infrastructure, and operational workflows
- Elicit and document ICT system requirements, including specialised equipment
- Produce detailed reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with governance, cyber security, and service management practices
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex ICT environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business audiences
- Experience capturing business processes and system requirements
- Exposure to environments involving scientific systems or specialised equipment (highly regarded)
- Knowledge of:
- Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) / Essential Eight
- ITIL Service Management practices
- Ability to translate complex problems into clear, actionable solutions
