About the Company

One of Australia's leading organisations is currently rolling out a large-scale digital transformation. As part of this, they're upgrading several key business systems-including a core Works Management System (WMS) that supports day-to-day operations. This role offers the chance to get involved in a major system uplift project, helping modernise how essential services are delivered across the business.

About the Role:

This role is part of a cross-functional Agile team dedicated to enhancing the functionality, performance, and reliability of a core enterprise platform. The system architecture comprises a SQL Server database, Windows and Web Services, Azure Application Services, and a legacy MS Access component. As the UI Developer, you'll play a key role in modernising the platform-focusing on WPF desktop development using C# .NET and the DevExpress WPF framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance WPF desktop applications using C# .NET and DevExpress framework
  • Collaborate within cross-functional Agile teams to deliver system enhancements
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and estimate development complexity
  • Build, test, and deploy UI components while maintaining quality standards
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and iterative development processes
  • Support application performance monitoring and optimization
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with IT policies
  • Contribute to system modernisation efforts and legacy component migration
  • Monitor the performance of the application.

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Strong proficiency in WPF Desktop development, C# .NET, and DevExpress WPF framework
  • Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server database development, including T-SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures
  • Proven track record delivering technology solutions in medium to large-scale, complex projects
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex procedural programs
  • Ability to interpret ambiguous requirements and coordinate approaches to deliver effective solutions
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with proven ability to plan work for self and team members
  • Experience working in complex organisational environments with diverse business requirements
