Technical Business Analyst - Data & Analytics

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support the delivery of high-quality data and analytics solutions within a fast-paced Federal Government environment.
In this role, you will work closely with policy, operational and technical teams to document complex business processes, define data and business requirements, and support the design of future-state cloud and analytics platforms that enable evidence-based decision making.
The Role
Document complex business processes using BPMN, flowcharts and structured documentation
Conduct gap analysis and define business and data requirements for analytics and cloud-based platforms
Analyse current and future state processes to support data-driven and cloud-enabled solutions
Collaborate with policy, operational and technical stakeholders to co-design platform solutions
Support development of business cases including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessments
Translate complex technical and data concepts into clear business requirements
About You
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in technical, data or analytics environments
Strong capability documenting business processes and requirements
Experience working with cloud and analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or similar)
Experience with data visualisation and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SAS or similar
Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-performance environments and manage competing priorities
Australian Citizenship is mandatory
Desirable Experience
Experience supporting government reporting or analytics programs
Understanding of public sector data environments or reporting frameworks
Experience contributing to business cases and organisational transformation initiatives
