Tech Assurance Specialist - Defence Industry
We are seeking an experienced Tech Assurance Specialist to join a major consultancy firm to delivering complex, large-scale technology capabilities fro their cleint. This role is ideal for someone with strong ICT architecture experience, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for improving quality and risk management across enterprise technology environments.
As a subject matter expert supporting the Tech Assurance Lead, you will play a key role in validating designs, enhancing quality frameworks, assessing technology risks, and guiding cross-program stakeholders toward secure and scalable solutions.
About the Opportunity
You will work within a high-security Defence environment, contributing to a program responsible for delivering critical ICT systems and infrastructure. In this role, you will:
Develop and implement practices that enhance operational excellence across technology projects.
Review and validate solution and architecture designs to ensure alignment with program standards.
Support design assurance by collaborating with engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
Lead process improvement initiatives using recognised quality methodologies.
Identify and manage enterprise technology risks, including mitigation planning and documentation.
Contribute to governance activities, quality reviews, and program-level decision forums.
Required Skills & Experience
We're looking for candidates who demonstrate:
Advanced proficiency in Cloud Enterprise Architecture.
Intermediate proficiency in Quality Assurance and Stakeholder Management.
Minimum 2 years' experience in ICT architecture, technical assurance, or similar roles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in complex technical environments.
Ability to influence outcomes and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
Experience in Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR).
Experience in Quality Management frameworks and tools.
Working Requirements
Active NV1 security clearance (mandatory).
Australian citizenship required.
Must work onsite 5 days per week within a secure Defence facility.
