The Network are seeking an NV2 cleared Systems Generalist Engineer to support a critical Federal Government capability based in Canberra.
Contract: 6 months + 2 x 12-month extensions
Location: Canberra ACT (primarily onsite at Deakin - remote work may be considered)
Clearance: NV2 (mandatory)
Closing date: 14 January 2026
As a Systems Generalist Engineer, you will support and sustain a newly deployed ICT capability critical to operational outcomes. You will provide broad systems engineering support across complex environments, with a strong focus on incident management, monitoring, fault diagnosis, and system stability. Working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, you will support deployed systems, provide technical advice, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring solutions are fully documented and integrated with interfacing systems.
Who are we looking for:
Must have:
Active NV2 security clearance
Advanced practitioner experience in systems or software engineering
Proven experience supporting incident management and system monitoring
Strong capability in diagnosing and resolving system faults in complex environments
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams
Strong documentation skills and experience supporting integrated systems
Desirable:
Experience across both Windows and Linux environments
Exposure to automation or scripting for system support and maintenance
Background in highly secure government environments
