Solution Architect - Data Centric Security

If you're an NV2-cleared architect who wants to work on genuinely complex, mission-critical systems, this role puts you at the centre of Australia's most sensitive and technically demanding environments.
You'll be designing and delivering next-generation cross-domain and data-centric security solutions that enable secure information sharing across multiple security domains - work that directly supports Defence, national security, and coalition interoperability outcomes.
This is not a paper-architecture role. You'll own real technical decisions, influence system design end-to-end, and work with cutting-edge guard, firewall, and data-centric security platforms aligned to the Australian Government ISM and NATO standards.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading the architecture of next-generation firewall, guard, and cross-domain solutions
Designing secure information exchange aligned to ISM, NATO FMN, and STANAG requirements
Implementing data-centric security models covering classification, access control, encryption, and metadata
Architecting and integrating:
Isode M-Guard (uni/bi-directional cross-domain transfer)
Palo Alto Networks NGFW platforms
ArchTIS TDI / ABAC solutions aligned to ACP240
Producing clear, defensible architecture artefacts for accreditation and governance
Providing senior technical leadership across design, build, test, and deployment
Working closely with cyber, engineering, and delivery teams in secure environments
What Makes You a Strong Fit
10+ years' experience as a Solution Architect / Systems Architect
Proven delivery in Defence, Government, or highly regulated environments
Hands-on experience with cross-domain, high-assurance, or classified systems
Deep understanding of secure networking, PKI, encryption, and Zero Trust
Comfortable operating autonomously and influencing senior stakeholders
Technologies & Frameworks
Palo Alto NGFW (PAN-OS, App-ID, Threat Prevention, Panorama)
Isode M-Guard (STANAG 4774 security labelling)
ArchTIS TDI / ABAC (ACP240, metadata tagging)
Australian Government ISM, NATO FMN / STANAGs
TOGAF (or equivalent), Agile / DevSecOps

Active NV2 Security Clearance (mandatory)
