About the Company

Join a leading global retailer with a strong and growing presence in Australia, currently undergoing an exciting large-scale modernisation and digital transformation journey. The organisation is investing heavily in technology to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and modernise its core infrastructure across stores and corporate environments. You'll be part of a team that's shaping the next phase of their digital evolution.

About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Systems Administrator with strong expertise in endpoint engineering to help uplift and standardise the organisation's technology environment. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating and managing standard endpoint images, driving application and infrastructure lifecycle management, and addressing security and configuration challenges (including SQL upgrades, GPOs, and related activities).

While a dedicated team will handle deployments, you'll play a key part in setting the technical standards and frameworks that others will follow across the retail network. You may also support implementation tasks when needed, ensuring alignment to best practices and maintaining consistency across all endpoints.

Experience Required

  • Strong background in endpoint engineering and systems administration within large, distributed environments

  • Experience with Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and SQL upgrades

  • Solid understanding of application and infrastructure lifecycle management

  • Exposure to security hardening, patching, and maintaining compliance within enterprise environments

  • Ability to define standards, document processes, and collaborate effectively with deployment and support teams
