The opportunity:
My client is looking for an experienced Senior ICT Project Manager with strong Defence ICT Program experience. Strong experience project managing supplier project managers and effectively managing the overall project and communication to senior Defence stakeholders is key to the role.
Baseline security clearance of higher is essential for this position
Responsibilities and desired background:
- Significant ICT Infrastructure project management experience is required with a focus on data center hardware and application relocations.
- Represent Project Director and manage relationships with the project suppliers.
- Experience communicating with key stakeholders and coordinating working groups, committees, and consultations
- Ability to review supplier project management to make sure they are of sufficient quality to be accepted by the project director.
- Exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
- Ability to manage large and diverse teams.
- Perform governance of ICT supplier activities.
- Experience working with master schedulers to integrate supplier schedules
- Expert in managing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Work with the commercial manager to design, review and submit contracts.
- Participate in procurement processes including design, submission, review, negotiation, and approval.
- Work with the risk manager to make sure risk and issues have appropriate and up to date management plans.
- Conduct project reviews and provide detailed reports for executive staff.
- Optimize and improve processes.
- Project Management qualifications like PRINCE2 and PMP are highly desirable.
