The Network are seeking an AGSVA NV1 cleared Senior Network Engineer supporting an exciting program of work inside a Federal Government environment.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will deliver secure, scalable and high-performing network solutions. You will lead network design, configuration and deployment activities, ensuring infrastructure is hardened in line with cybersecurity (ISM) requirements. You'll troubleshoot complex network issues, conduct testing and validation, and support broader DevOps and platform engineering initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Network design, documentation and physical deployment
- Configuration of switches, routers and firewalls
- Server, workstation and edge device management
- Network hardening and security uplift activities
- Packet capture analysis and troubleshooting
- Mentoring and upskilling team members
Who are we looking for?
Essential:
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in network engineering
- Strong hands-on experience deploying networking hardware
- Experience with VMWare NSX, Cilium and Cisco
- Strong Linux/RHEL knowledge
- Deep understanding of BGP, Policy Based Routing, Multicast and Traffic Shaping
- Experience implementing secure networks aligned to ISM
Desirable:
- Exposure to DevOps practices
- Advanced Windows configuration knowledge
- Scripting/programming capability
