About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to support large-scale enterprise programs delivered within secure and regulated environments. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, security, operation, and continuous improvement of complex Cisco-based network infrastructures supporting critical business and operational systems.
You will play a senior, hands-on technical role across network architecture, operations, and security, acting as an escalation point for complex issues while providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers. Working closely with network operations teams, security specialists, cloud engineers, and stakeholders, you will deliver secure, highly available, and scalable network solutions in high-assurance environments.
This role suits a technically strong senior professional with deep experience across enterprise Cisco networking and network security, comfortable operating in secure, mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance Cisco network solutions aligned to enterprise security requirements
Support and secure large-scale Cisco enterprise networks across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, data centre, and cloud environments
Implement and enforce network security controls including Cisco Firepower NGFW, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption, and access controls
Design, configure, and support Cisco ISE for network access control, authentication, and policy enforcement
Oversee day-to-day network operations including incident, change, and problem management aligned to ITSM / ITIL processes
Monitor network performance, availability, and security using Cisco platforms and enterprise diagnostic tools
Troubleshoot and resolve complex routing, switching, firewall, and security incidents as a senior escalation point
Perform network maintenance, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of Cisco hardware and software
Conduct security assessments, vulnerability identification, and remediation across network infrastructure
Lead and contribute to network projects from planning through delivery
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver secure outcomes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network resilience and security posture
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior engineers
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on performance, incidents, risks, and improvements
