About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Risk & Issue Management Analyst to support a major Defence program. In this role, you will help ensure quality, compliance, and effective risk mitigation across service delivery activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PMO functions, issue and risk management, and compliance frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to promote a strong risk culture, support audits, and provide insights that contribute to program success.

Required Security Clearance
Australian Citizenship and an active NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
- Support service delivery by ensuring compliance with risk management, quality, and assurance processes.
- Increase awareness of compliance requirements and assist in maintaining alignment with regulatory and governance standards.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce organisational exposure and enhance resilience.
- Conduct audits and assessments to ensure adherence to policies, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen risk awareness and promote a culture of organisational compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports on risk status, audit findings, and compliance performance for leadership review.
- Stay updated on relevant industry trends and regulatory changes to inform and enhance risk management practices.
- Participate in team discussions, contribute solutions to operational challenges, and support ongoing improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in PMO environments, issue management, and risk/compliance practices.
- Intermediate proficiency in risk management and risk mitigation principles.
- Foundational knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and recommend effective controls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and develop subject matter expertise in risk and compliance.
