About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Risk & Issue Management Analyst to support a major Defence program. In this role, you will help ensure quality, compliance, and effective risk mitigation across service delivery activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PMO functions, issue and risk management, and compliance frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to promote a strong risk culture, support audits, and provide insights that contribute to program success.

Required Security Clearance
Australian Citizenship and an active NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory)


Key Responsibilities

  • Support service delivery by ensuring compliance with risk management, quality, and assurance processes.
  • Increase awareness of compliance requirements and assist in maintaining alignment with regulatory and governance standards.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce organisational exposure and enhance resilience.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure adherence to policies, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen risk awareness and promote a culture of organisational compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports on risk status, audit findings, and compliance performance for leadership review.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry trends and regulatory changes to inform and enhance risk management practices.
  • Participate in team discussions, contribute solutions to operational challenges, and support ongoing improvement initiatives.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in PMO environments, issue management, and risk/compliance practices.
  • Intermediate proficiency in risk management and risk mitigation principles.
  • Foundational knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and recommend effective controls.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and develop subject matter expertise in risk and compliance.
