EL1 Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced EL1 equivalent Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic initiatives within a structured Commonwealth governance environment.
This role will see you managing end-to-end project delivery, overseeing multiple related projects, and ensuring strong governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement practices are in place.
The Role
Develop and manage project plans to deliver outcomes on time and within budget
Manage risks, issues, governance and escalation processes
Oversee project budgets, procurement and contract management activities
Engage and build strong relationships with government, industry and community stakeholders
Lead and mentor project teams to drive high performance
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and Commonwealth frameworks
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management (or related discipline)
Experience applying Agile, PRINCE2 or similar methodologies
Strong risk management and problem-solving capability
Proven experience managing budgets and procurement processes
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams
Australian Citizenship is mandatory
Desirable
Background in data analytics, economics, statistics or business
Experience working within a government reporting environment
Familiarity with Australian Government reporting requirements
