Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join a dynamic team within the Joint Capabilities Group. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and managing network infrastructure and related systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

- Investigate and diagnose network issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Apply necessary routing and firewall changes.
- Perform periodic backups and restoration of configurations.
- Engineer new links and review change proposals.
- Collect performance statistics and develop comprehensive reports.
- Manage network devices, including routers, firewalls, and WAN optimisers.
- Maintain updated network topology and connection overview documentation.
- Hands-on experience with server infrastructure, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated experience with Windows Server, VMware (ESXi and vCenter), and networking equipment.
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN architecture and device configuration.
- Experience in monitoring infrastructure for availability and performance.
- Proficient in network performance monitoring, routing, and switching.
