About the Role
As a Managed Security Specialist you will engage directly with clients – reviewing security events, swiftly identifying, investigating, and responding to potential threats. You will conduct rigorous vulnerability assessments and risk evaluations, ensuring clients are well-prepared against emerging threats. You will be a hands-on partner when it comes to client support, equipping teams with essential security awareness training and diving deep into compliance programs, checks, and audits.
Core Duties:
- Analyse and respond to security events promptly.
- Manage security requests and questionnaires from clients.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk evaluations.
- Deliver clear, regulatory-compliant reports to clients.
- Support clients with security projects and operational needs.
- Conduct security awareness training and on-call incident response.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in event analysis and triage, previous experience within a Service Centre or Security Operations Centre
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing both risk-based compliance and control-based compliance initiatives.
- Versatile experience across diverse organisational scales, encompassing both large and small entities in government and private sectors.
- Strong project management, data analytics, and machine learning skills within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for this role.
- Azure Security Stack (Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID)
- Security Frameworks (PCI-DSS, SOC2, Essential 8, and ISO 27001)
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, eDiscovery)
- Vulnerability Management (Tenable Nessus, Rapid7, or Qualys)
- Web Application & Firewall (CloudFlare, Akamai, or Edgio)
- Phishing, Training, & Simulation (Proofpoint, KnowBe4, or Phriendly Phishing)
- Ticketing Systems (ServiceNow or JIRA)
