Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware, software, mobile issues
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Advise users on appropriate action
  • Follow standard service desk procedures
  • Log all service desk interactions
  • Redirect problems to correct resource
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Identify recurring problems, resolve and mitigate as necessary
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates
  • Provide on-site support for clients
  • Some weekend/after-hours work may be required.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills (Desktop, servers, network, mobile)
  • Knowledge of supporting:
    1. Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Win 8.1 and 10)
    2. Microsoft Applications such as MS Office
    3. Virtualisation Technology such as Hyper-v/VMware
    4. Windows Security Management
  • Knowledge of provisioning users using Microsoft's Active Directory/Exchange/Office 365
  • Knowledge of Active Directory Management
  • Basic understanding of networking and network security including switches, routers and firewalls.
