About the Role:
The Department is seeking dedicated Junior Project Managers to support and drive the successful delivery of ICT projects within our Infrastructure Technology & Cloud Services Branch. This role involves managing high-priority projects aimed at integrating and advancing our Azure Hosting Platform (APO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage various technology-related project phases, activities, and tasks.
- Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Deliver results within tight deadlines while preparing comprehensive reports, artefacts, and documentation for management.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage competing requirements and workloads.
- Exhibit personal resilience and adaptability in handling ambiguity, conflicting priorities, and a dynamic work environment.
- Utilize tools like Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Jira for project management.
- Proven experience in coordinating program/project activities, including schedule management and progress reporting.
- Strong technical background with the ability to manage complex technical tasks and resolve ICT issues.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with experience in Azure DevOps or similar project tracking tools.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Experience working effectively under pressure, with a keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Experience in presenting and communicating expectations across competing priorities in a challenging environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in project management or related fields are highly regarded.
- Previous experience in Federal Government agencies is advantageous.
