As Infrastructure Manager, you will lead a small, high performing technical team with a focus on delivering a range of best in class technical solutions for internal product and engineering teams. You'll enjoy developing and building a high performing team, you will be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders to ensure client delivery requirements are met and you will be technologically curious and comfortable working with stakeholders of all levels to secure the outcome. This role will require someone who can lead and develop a technical modernisation roadmap with the expectation of initially remaining the key point of technical escalation.
As Infrastructure Manager you will:
- Ensure the design and build of critical Infrastructure and Networking solutions with high uptime front of mind
- Investigate and implement automation tools in the SDLC
- Contribute to long term technical roadmap with an eye to technology modernisation and maximum ROI
- Manage BCP and Test Performance and the DR
- Manage projects from planning to implementations across EUC, Networks, Cyber and DevOps
- Act as an escalation point for AD, Azure and other Infrastructure support and maintenance tasks
- Identify and hire team members to ensure continuous improvement and continuity of service
- Work with the Cyber team to rapidly respond to attacks or breaches
- Mentor and drive a team to fulfill their full potential
- Manage third party vendors and internal budgeting
- Champion best practice and ensure compliance
Skills and experience
- Experience managing a small team in a fast paced environment with an eye to ensuring 100% availability
- Proven success managing stakeholders to ensure project delivery
- Experience building and mentoring technical teams
- Act as a key technical resource to architect solutions around a wide range of Infrastructure & Networking technologies
- Experience driving innovation and demonstrable value to a business with technology solutions
- Strong understanding of Networking, Data Centres and Virtualised Environments (VMware & ESXi)
- Experience with Cloud (Azure or AWS) and other Microsoft technologies such as O365
- Experience leading a team while still understanding and remaining hands on
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
