We're looking for a Storage Engineer with 4-5 years of experience to play a pivotal role in the design, deployment, and management of our customers on-premises storage systems.     💼 What You'll Do

    As a Storage Engineer, you'll lead strategic infrastructure initiatives, support mission-critical operations, and guide junior engineers. You'll have the autonomy to drive improvements while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment.



    🛠️ Key Responsibilities

    Infrastructure Strategy & Design

    • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of high-performing storage solutions.

    • Evaluate existing systems for scalability and performance improvements.

    • Own and maintain key operational documentation (SUDs, SOPs) and go-live readiness plans.

    Operations & Optimization

    • Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot storage systems to ensure maximum availability.

    • Take ownership of incident resolution across production and non-production environments.

    • Manage storage capacity, patching, provisioning, and ticket escalations.

    Leadership & Mentorship

    • Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.

    • Serve as the technical lead for complex storage issues and continuous improvement efforts.

    Automation & Innovation

    • Champion automation of storage operations using scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

    • Support alignment with DevOps/Agile methodologies for streamlined service delivery.

    Collaboration & Compliance

    • Work hand-in-hand with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure seamless integration.

    • Ensure all storage solutions meet compliance, performance, and security standards.

    Future-Ready Planning

    • Keep pace with emerging technologies and drive modernization of our storage ecosystem.

    • Contribute to long-term capacity planning, hybrid storage strategy, and cost efficiency.

    ✅ What You Bring

    • 4-5 years in IT infrastructure with a strong focus on on-prem SAN, NAS, and backup technologies.

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.

    • Experience leading initiatives or mentoring technical teams.

    Technical Expertise In:

    • HPE, Hitachi, Cisco, Brocade SAN fabrics, Nutanix, NetBackup, HP tape libraries.

    • Storage provisioning, performance optimization, and capacity planning.

    • Scripting for automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

    • Hybrid cloud and cloud-ready storage integrations (AWS/Azure a plus).

    Soft Skills:

    • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    • Clear communicator who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced settings.

    • Detail-oriented with a passion for continuous improvement.

    🎓 Preferred Certifications

    • ITIL v4 (or willingness to obtain within 8 weeks).

    • Vendor certifications from HPE, Hitachi, Nutanix, or major cloud providers are a strong plus.
