Job Advertisement: ILS Practitioner
Are you an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) professional looking to contribute to one of Australia's most significant and complex capability programs? We are seeking a skilled ILS Practitioner to work Above the Line, embedded within a Commonwealth program team, delivering high-impact logistics support outcomes across the full asset lifecycle.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence planning, acquisition, transition, sustainment, and disposal activities for major materiel systems, while working closely with Commonwealth stakeholders and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) activities in accordance with DEF(AUST) 5691.
Identify, develop and verify ILS requirements to support program objectives.
Develop, maintain and update Logistics Support Analysis Records (LSARs).
Produce and refine ILS documentation and artefacts as required.
Review and contribute to OEM deliverables for constituent systems.
Evaluate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for support system impacts and brief findings to the ILS Manager.
Prepare documentation, reports and presentations for program reviews and stakeholder engagements.
Essential Skills & Experience
Degree qualification or 5-10+ years of relevant industry experience as a practitioner in Integrated Logistics Support.
Qualifications and practical experience with LES Suite of Products (eMRD, eLSA, eLORA, etc.) or equivalent tools.
Ability to work under broad direction and take full responsibility for achieving technical or project outcomes.
Demonstrated capability delivering complex technical or professional work across varied contexts.
Strong understanding of how ILS activities align to broader organisational or capability objectives.
Ability to assess and manage risk, meet time/cost/quality targets, and support structured decision-making.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
NV1 Clearance required, NV2 Clearance desirable (will require uplift if not)

OPUS10 qualifications and experience.
Demonstrated creativity, innovation and ethical thinking when developing solutions.
Ability to evaluate standards, tools and methodologies and select the most appropriate approach.
Experience facilitating collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and environments.
