The Network are actively recruiting for a Desktop Support Officer on a long term contract within a Federal Government Department.

Initial contract 12 months x1 12 month extensions - Requires minimum active Baseline security clearance.

Position to be based on-site in Canberra with flexible working arrangements at discretion of manager.







Overview:

The MOE Imaging Support Officers - Level two will provide day-to-day support for the preparation, imaging, deployment, and return of ICT hardware assets. These officers ensure efficient service to end users across the Department, including remote and regional locations, while maintaining compliance with tracking and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise and process shipping consignments using COPE and StarTrack portals.
  • Pack outbound shipments and receive inbound ICT consignments.
  • Image and configure new laptops, desktops, and high-spec devices for deployment.
  • Resolve ICT service requests and incidents logged in ServiceNow.

Skills you must have experience in:

  • Demonstrated experience in imaging and configuring ICT hardware including laptops, desktops, and high-spec devices
  • Proficiency with ICT asset management systems, particularly ServiceNow, for tracking, updating, and resolving service requests and incidents
  • Understanding of warranty processes and ability to initiate claims with vendors such as Dell and HP.
  • Knowledge of ICT asset lifecycle management, including SIM card verification, drive wiping, and updating retirement status.
