The Network are seeking a Build Automation Technical Specialist to work on cutting-edge land combat digital environments within a Federal Government program.

As a Build Automation Technical Specialist, you'll be hands-on in a small DevSecOps-focused team, developing automation tools that streamline the build, configuration, and deployment of deployable ICT nodes supporting critical land combat systems.
What you'll be doing
Develop and maintain automation tools for system build, configuration, and deployment
Deliver scripting, automation, and orchestration within a DevSecOps environment
Design and implement VMware-based disaster recovery solutions
Produce clear technical documentation and system designs
Support configuration management, risk management, and environment integrity
Collaborate with SMEs, stakeholders, and user groups
Provide limited user training where required
Who we're looking for
Must have experience with:
PowerShell and Ansible
DevSecOps toolsets and practices
GitLab
Kubernetes / container workloads
Microsoft & Linux operating systems
VMware datacentre products
Version-controlled infrastructure deployments
Automated patching, updates, and compliance checking
Highly desirable
10+ years in secure ICT systems within the Defence domain
Knowledge of deployed Defence networks (e.g. AUS MPE, EDLAN)
Vulnerability scanning, secrets management, IAM
NIST, ISO27001, ASD Essential 8
Air-gapped or disconnected environments
Cloud or hybrid cloud experience
