About the role
The Department is seeking 3 Junior and 1 mid level Cyber Security analyst on a contract basis. Your primary focus will be on developing security detection and response capabilities, involving the creation of essential tools, integration, rule formulation, alerts, and data analysis to address the latest security threats.
You will be involved in:
- Researching the latest in threat trends and vulnerabilities
- Investigation and mitigation of security incidents usings tools such as Defender, Azure Security Centre and Splunk
- Responding to security incidents
- Conducting log analysis and reporting
- A cyber operations and engineering team led by managers with a track record of identifying and leading key security objectives, and supporting the team to achieve outcomes
- Growing team, with support and funding to continue on the security transformation journey
- Excellent track record of nurturing the next generation of cyber security professionals
