Position: System Architect

Location: Canberra, ACT

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced System Architect. The System Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing technology solutions that align with business objectives and support a new operating model. This position requires a deep understanding of solution design, system architecture, and enterprise architecture principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business architects and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technology strategies and architectural designs.
  • Apply composable architecture principles to develop scalable and flexible technology solutions.
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting technology solutions that best fit business needs.
  • Support business and product owners in implementing innovative solutions and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Participate in enterprise architecture initiatives, contributing to the evolution of architecture and creating implementation blueprints.
  • Provide regular progress reports and updates as required.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in solution design, system architecture, and enterprise architecture.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in digital/ICT-related disciplines.
  • Strong background in designing digital services and systems architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in selecting and implementing technology architectures for large-scale systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Recent experience in designing business solutions using composable architecture principles within an agile environment.
  • Familiarity with tax administration and/or land rates management systems is advantageous.
  • Commitment to workplace diversity, participative work practices, workplace health and safety, and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
