The Role
In this newly established position, you will play a critical role in a multitude of upcoming infrastructure projects aiming to uplift and strengthen the existing technology and security ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Delivery Manager, focusing on development of cloud & on-premises security initiatives.
- Drive and deliver a diverse range of security-focused infrastructure projects, spanning both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with the Information Security and Risk team to plan and execute upcoming projects arising from industry recommendations, security assessments, vulnerability identification, and penetration testing.
- Establish and uphold security principles and implement mitigation strategies (ie. least privilege, defence in depth, hardening, best practice, CIS Benchmarks) - ensuring alignment with established security frameworks (ie. Essential Eight, ISO 27001).
- Must hold Australian Citizenship or Australian PR to be considered for this position.
Skills and Experience
- Strong technical foundation with experience in a similar infrastructure or security role (5+ years of commercial experience)
- Expertise in Microsoft infrastructure and modern workplace technologies (Windows Server, AD, Office 365 Suite, SCCM, Group Policy).
- Comprehensive knowledge across Azure IaaS/PaaS, especially: Network, Compute, Identity, Security, Application/Micro-services, Database, and Analytics.
- Proficient in virtualization technologies, especially: VMware, iSCSI shared storage
- Familiarity with security policies and frameworks including: ACSC, CIS, ISO 27001, and SOC.
- Desirable Certifications: Microsoft Azure (AZ-500), Microsoft Office 365 (MS-500), Microsoft Security (SC-), CISSP/SSCP/CASP+.
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible for consideration.
