Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Cutover Manager to oversee the seamless transition of finance systems within a large transformation. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing cutover processes, conducting dress rehearsals, and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during system implementations. The Cutover Manager will work closely with various teams including digital, right order, dependencies, changes, and communications to coordinate efforts and mitigate risks associated with cutover activities.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and lead cutover activities for the implementation of finance systems.
Conduct dress rehearsals to validate cutover plans and identify potential issues.
Work closely with the digital team to ensure the successful migration of data and integration of finance systems.
- Develop cutover plans from scratch, considering dependencies, sequencing, and resource allocation.
- Estimate data migration durations and develop contingency plans to address any delays.
- Collaborate with the changes and communications team to manage stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively during outages or disruptions.
- Manage the cutover schedule, ensuring alignment with dress rehearsal outcomes and business requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team during cutover activities, ensuring adherence to best practices and procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for cutover-related inquiries and issues, resolving them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Engage with stakeholders across the organization to ensure their needs are understood and addressed throughout the cutover process.
- Monitor and track cutover progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cutover Manager or similar role, preferably in finance systems implementations or large-scale IT projects.
- Strong understanding of cutover processes, including dress rehearsals, data migration, and system integration.
- Ability to develop cutover plans from scratch and manage complex schedules with multiple dependencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations and navigate through challenging situations during cutover activities.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and drive resolution.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Certification in project management or related field (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
