Multiple Azure Developer / Engineering positions - NV1 cleared
Our client is a leading global digital transformation consultancy who are currently supporting the Australian to adopt more HCD, Agile, Product Innovation to all of their Federal Government agencies this included looking at the way policies, services, technology and customer experience are truly used as a force for good across the whole of Australia.
As part of their broader footprint into the Australian defence sector they're currently working to deliver multiple programs and are currently building out a Azure cloud capability within their broader digital transformation team. A specialist team of Azure consultants to work on a current defence engagement but which will also sit into their digital transformation space which supports the best use of Microsoft cloud technologies within their business unit.
As a Cloud Engineer, here are some of the things you'll need to succeed in this role:
- Planning, managing and supporting the delivery of cloud solutions
- Assisting in the development of best practices associated with cloud solutions
- Effectively utilising development best practices such as CI/CD
- Ensuring appropriate quality is maintained through practices such as unit testing, automation and monitoring
- Managing technology across the full stack on our production systems, including: systems administration, scaling systems, automation and optimisation
- Monitoring and assessing industry developments and incorporate them into solutions where appropriate
- Keeping your skills up to date and always be looking for continuous improvement
- Using automation and testing to make systems not only fast but reliable and repeatable
We'd love to hear from you if you have experience with:
- Experience in software delivery or as an engineer maintaining applications and infrastructure - Azure
- Experience building and maintaining cloud based applications and platform, as well as familiarity with agile software delivery and DevOps principles (systems thinking, continuous improvement)
- A keen interest in automation and leveraging modern technology and tools to speed up delivery of applications and services
- The ability to script in at least one language and have a willingness to learn new ones
- Strong time management skills with ability to prioritise workloads under pressure and meet deadlines
