Responsibilities
- Build, management and support of on-Premise Microsoft SQL infrastructure in a multi-forest distributed environment.
- Integration of complex ICT infrastructure software and applications with database elements
- Proactive maintenance, patching and upgrading of a distributed SQL enterprise
- Development and Build defect remediation
- Analyse, log, track, and resolve complex issues pertaining to SQL databases
- Creation and peer review of Standard Operating Procedure documentation (SOPs), build guides and related artefacts
Key Skills and experience
- Highly developed knowledge of: Microsoft SQL and AD administration, High availability SQL configurations, Message queuing
- SQL Patching, SQL reporting services, Monitoring of SQL and its services, Microsoft Server OS administration, Review SQL audit logs and understands Distributed Transaction Coordination
