We are seeking a talented, dynamic business analyst to work within the departments Information Technology Services (ITS) branch on a range of technical initiatives.
Ideally you will be client focused with experience across all aspects of business analysis in a technical environment. This will entail liaising with stakeholders to solicit, understand and document business requirements, processes, and develop high level solutions and system designs.
Some other tasks to complete are:
- Facilitate workshops and other collaboration or research activities with internal and external stakeholders to meet outcomes, such as identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Produce artefacts as required to assist teams to understand the problem and design an appropriate solution. This may include user stories, journey maps, blueprints, personas, functional requirements specifications.
- Design solutions that take into account enterprise architecture, security, information and data management in order to resolve complex issues for both near term business objectives and predicted future needs.
To be successful in the role you will need the following:
- Demonstrated experience (at least 5 years) in business analysis
- Highly developed liaison, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and to listen and respond to others appropriately
- Experience working on technical projects, particularly those related to infrastructure
- Experience producing analysis and project artefacts such as process maps, functional decomposition models, functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, business cases and acceptance criteria
