About the Role

As a Technical Assurance Specialist, you will play a significant role in shaping the security landscape of a top-tier financial services company - pivotal in guiding technology and business teams throughout delivery lifecycles. You will provide pragmatic, contextualized technical security advisory, manage stakeholder expectations, and build strong relationships, all while serving as an ambassador for cyber security.

Core Duties:
  • Collaborate with various business lines and technical delivery teams to secure cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), container orchestration, and automation tools.
  • Deliver end-to-end project lifecycle support for both Agile and Waterfall projects, ensuring secure application development and adherence to security best practices.
  • Identify and assess security risks impacting financial service operations and work with stakeholders to understand the severity and necessary remediation activities.
  • Partner with security architects to validate and implement required security controls in project teams.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements, the evolving threat landscape, and industry standards such as NIST, COBIT, and ISO27001.

Skills & Experience
  • Solid understanding of third-party risk, security best practices, and secure application development.
  • Desirable experience in vulnerability management, security testing, and system configuration.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry-standard frameworks.
  • Industry-recognized qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, SANS certification, and cloud platform certifications are highly desirable.
