Senior Project Manager ( Part-Time / Contract)


Location: Sydney (Hybrid - Minimum 1 day in-office)
Duration: 6 to 7 months (Potential start in late March or early April)
Commitment: 2 to 3 days per week

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Project Manager to lead and oversee a strategic initiative aimed at evaluating and procuring a platform for processing and reviewing electronic records & documentation. This role is pivotal in ensuring successful and timely project delivery while managing stakeholder expectations and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and Evaluate: Examine current processing and reviewing capabilities and determine future requirements for electronic management.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project methodologies to manage milestones, governance, and compliance while minimising risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, providing expert advice and translating complex technical information clearly.
  • Procurement Management: Lead the procurement cycle, including tender document development, vendor evaluations, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to standards across projects and BAU areas while maintaining accurate reports and documentation.


Skills & Experience:

  • Substantial Project Management Experience in complex Enterprise IT environments.
  • Proven experience managing procurement projects within NSW government, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and relevant certifications (e.g., PRINCE2 or PMP).


Highly Desirable:

  • Experience or knowledge in law enforcement, legal, or judicial software platforms.
  • Understanding of investigation business processes, including judicial procedures.
  • Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
