About the role

This Linux System Support role is part of the Technical Help Desk providing support for multi-tenanted enterprise solutions to over 50 managed services customers.

  • Provide technical support, advice, and assistance to clients
  • Help resolve hardware, OS and other technical problems
  • Work as a member of a cohesive team, providing effective first and limited second level IT support and assistance to the Department and its stakeholders.
  • Liaising with clients and other areas on technical support issues, problem resolution and assistance, through to resolution.
  • Install and configuration software and hardware (patch management)
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating processes and procedures
  • Ticket ownership: log, manage and process Incidents and emails in job queues through ServiceNow

Skills & experience

  • Experience with Help Desk / IT Support / Desktop
  • Experience with Linux/ Ubuntu
  • Excellent communication skills
  • You have experience in Active Directory, Exchange, Windows O/S - 7/8/10, Microsoft Office suite, O365 troubleshooting, MS Azure, PowerShell
  • Knowledge of ITIL is desirable
  • Reliability, efficiency, and the ability to learn processes and technologies quickly are some of your strengths.
