The opportunity for you to work across two core domains:
Public Sector - Federal Government
The current team are expanding to help reduce the digital divide for all Australian citizens, they are currently working with CXO & Ministers to Co-Design all the Fed Gov Agencies/Services and piloting with a couple now in which they are transforming by the implementation of more holistic HCD & Service Design, looking at operating model & change management, then implementing these from both portfolio & program level, then working on the agile delivery!
Defence & National Security
Their capability as an organisation sits in the continued support across all key Defence & National Security based engagements, their focus within these programs are to be able to work with defence leadership to successfully transformation using a range of key specialism across Digital, Agile, Program, Audit, R&D & Business Process.
Business Analyst - NV1 cleared with Agile delivery or Technical Experience
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide high-quality analytical solutions to our client
- To increase the business value, collaborate with the product owner to create the product backlog by using Agile practices
- Develop business cases by working closely with product managers to develop business cases.
- Support the Product Owner in developing a product roadmap and product vision,
- Support the facilitation of breaking down epics, features and user stories into release plans as part of Backlog Refinement,
- Develop user stories as part of the multi-disciplinary team and define the business value and acceptance criteria
- Support Agile practices and encourage the improvement of service
- Create low or high-fidelity prototypes accordingly.
- Provide subject matter proficiency in specific functional area(s) as part of the multi-disciplinary team,
- Facilitate human centred design workshops and ustilise design thinking techniques to understand the business, user and technical needs to translate into features and user stories,
- Participate in other activities to improve the service of the product and other process alignment (e.g. internal audit, R&D, business process),
- Directly report to the engagement lead and/or our clients.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Security Clearance NV1
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business-related field
- 3+ years' experience in a Business Analyst role (in a client-facing environment).
- Experience in Agile practices including, Scrum, Behavior-driven development, Test-drive development, Continuous Improvement and Continuous development
- Good knowledge of software development process, especially software requirement analysis.
- Positive attitude toward conducting research and to applying emerging technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users.
- Good at presentation, time management and client relation skills.
- Good command of English communication (oral and written)
- Good interpersonal and collaboration skills, strong team working ability
- Ability to travel to client's site when necessary
