The Opportunity:
A Major Iconic Australian Brand are seeking an Azure Cloud Operations Lead to spearhead cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and innovation. What You'll Do:
The Azure Cloud Operations Lead assumes a pivotal role in the effective management and sustenance of the organisation's diverse cloud-based, physical, and virtual infrastructures, with the exception of networks. This encompassing responsibility extends to supervising the blueprinting, implementation, and upkeep of cloud-centric IT frameworks, while also prioritising their peak functionality.

A cloud infrastructure engineer first (80%), you will shape and optimise cloud-based systems, maximising performance and scalability. Secondly, you will be providing Agile leadership (20%), leading sprint planning and Scrum processes, nurturing your leadership skills.

  • Oversee the design, deployment, and optimal performance of cloud systems.
  • Nurture a small team, offering them strategic guidance and mentoring technical growth
  • Collaborating extensively with other IT teams and departments to deeply comprehend their unique IT requisites, leveraging cloud infrastructure to devise innovative solutions.
  • Stay up to date on the latest technologies and trends to proactively propose recommendations that enhance the company's IT systems.
  • Diligently monitoring and meticulously analyzing system performance.
  • Taking charge of the preparation and management of core systems' Disaster Recovery plans.


Preferred Experience:

  • Significant industry experience, preferably in large Enterprise environments.
  • Five years of hands-on involvement with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
  • Previously engaged in a Lead role, or on the cusp of transitioning into management or leadership.
  • In-depth grasp of cloud infrastructure and its related facets, including storage, servers, security, and networking.
  • Strong skills and experience in supporting and leading IT projects.
  • Certified in Microsoft Azure technologies
