About the role

The Cloud Architect will offer hands-on, business-oriented strategic and technical consulting to clients for cloud infrastructure, automation solutions, ongoing annuity services and solution architecture across Azure and be able to talk to AWS Platforms at a high level. As the practice grows you will provide technical architectural oversight to ensure architectural governance.

Duties

  • Define the client's project aims and to offer professional and technical insight and our solution offerings.
  • Architect solutions for cloud from on-prem, hybrid to public cloud across the mid-market and enterprise and government areas.
  • Lead the planning and design of customer-specific solutions and evaluate and recommend the best solutions for client needs.
  • Define key cloud offerings and solutions, build, maintain and demonstrate these internally across sales and practice leads and externally to prospects.
  • Identify current best practices and suggestions of key automation and tooling to underpin our offerings.
  • Produce pre-sales, bid documentation and own the technical and proposal and response documents including estimates, project plans and proposals.
  • Support the BDM's in sales activity to identify and qualify new opportunities.
  • Train and upskill sales team around new solution ideas and offerings.
  • Scope and provide governance on key projects for Cloud to the satisfaction of the client, the project timeframe and budget and Gross Margin Targets (e.g. 30% GM for Professional services)
  • Be responsible for the production and or approval of high-level and low-level design documents and other technical project related artefacts including target and reference architectures.
  • Be the ultimate escalation resource on technical items demonstrating a high level of expertise, ensuring outcomes meet the highest technical standards and oversee these to completion on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to thought leadership with respect to marketing content and publish these on a regular basis throughout the year (target 2 per month)
  • Prepare and distribute White Papers relating to engagements.
  • Participate in account planning and territory reviews if requested.
  • Maintain Cloud Portal Administration access, management tracking and daily weekly updates across consumption, registration, targets, certifications and partner status objectives.
