The Network are seeking an NV1 cleared Lead Battlefield Telecommunications Network Engineer working on a critical Defence capability program.

As a Lead Battlefield Telecommunications Network Engineer, you will act as a senior technical authority designing, building, and supporting deployable mission and battlefield networks. You will lead integration, testing, and optimisation across Land, Joint, and Coalition environments, ensuring interoperability across complex systems.
You will engineer and administer WAN and bearer networks, work across Satcom and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), and support secure communications including IP cryptographic and black core networks. You will also conduct testing and prototyping, provide technical training, and advise on major Defence projects and future capability.
Who are we looking for:
Must have:
o NV1 Security Clearance (ability to obtain NV2)
o Australian Citizenship
o Extensive experience in Defence network engineering (battlefield/tactical environments)
o Proven experience operating as a hands-on technical lead
Key skills and experience:
o WAN engineering and routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IPv4/IPv6)
o Satcom (FDMA/TDMA)
o Deployable/mission network design and support
o Cryptographic and secure network environments
o Integration testing, prototyping, and systems-of-systems environments
o Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
Desirable:
o Experience in Army, Joint or Coalition environments
o Experience training Defence personnel
o Exposure to Coalition interoperability environments
