About the role:

Be part of the SOC leadership team, help make decisions that define the strategy, drive change, and provide better services for clients.
Reporting to the Security Operations Centre (SOC) Team Lead, the L2 Security Analyst fills a leadership role 24x7 SOC. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing security events and alerts, identifying, and investigating potential threats, and providing recommendations for remediation.

General Tasks:

  • Reviewing and triaging security alerts and events: You will be responsible for reviewing security alerts and events as they are generated and determining the appropriate level of response based on the severity of the threat.
  • Investigating security incidents: If a security incident is detected, you will work with the rest of the SOC team to investigate the incident, identify the root cause, and determine the appropriate course of action to remediate the issue.
  • Providing recommendations for remediation: Based on your investigations, you will provide recommendations for remediation to the appropriate team or individual. This may include implementing technical fixes, updating policies and procedures, or providing training to employees.
  • Responding to security inquiries: You may be responsible for responding to inquiries from clients or internal stakeholders regarding security issues or concerns.
  • Maintaining documentation: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of security events and incidents, as well as the actions taken to address them.
  • Collaborating with other teams: You will work closely with other teams within the organization, such as the IT team and the threat intelligence team, to ensure that security issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
