The opportunity:
My client is looking for an experienced infrastructure consultant with the ability to perform as the Technical and Security Assurance manager for a major data centre relocation program.
Preferably experience working in large Australian Defence or Federal Government ICT Infrastructure projects with at least some demonstrable "above the line" experience and dealing multiple vendors and stakeholders
Australian Citizenship and a baseline security clearance are essential for this role
Responsibilities and desired experience:
There will be multiple phases so experience across most of the following is required
The Infrastructure Build - Power, Cooling, Rack layout, Engineering Diagrams
- Review, provide feedback on and recommend approval/rejection of Data Centre Processes and Procedures to ensure alignment with Defence requirements and existing DC support contractual obligations.
Enabling Services - Networking, Storage, PDU, SCCM, SCOM, AD and DHCP
- Review, provide feedback on and recommend approval/rejection of:
- DC spanning and transfer activities
- test procedures, plans, and results relating to Enabling Services
- Deliverables and associated documents relating to Enabling Services.
System Migration - TBC
- Reviewing Detailed Migration Plans against overall migration strategy and discovery.
- Oversight of migrations ensuring alignment to the agreed plans and ensuring any deviations are identified and either resolved or escalated Reviewing Detailed Migration Plans against overall migration strategy and discovery.
