As Head of Technology, you focus on leading, hiring and developing high performing technology teams responsible for building game changing custom software products. You'll be comfortable working with technology and product strategy and working alongside an all star executive team to deliver outcomes in a hyper growth environment. This client is backed by an ASX top 50 business providing funding to develop an innovative product built to help solve a range of manufacturing and logistics issues, they're looking to hire a seasoned technology executive with a track record of building high performing, cross functional technical teams within startup environments. This is a fantastic opportunity to help build a technology company from scratch but with the funding, security and guidance of a household blue chip company.
As Head of Technology you will:
- Set out the technology roadmap alongside your executive team to ensure scalability and security
- Recruit a multidisciplinary team in Australia to complement existing international teams
- Work with a number of vendors to help deliver an ambitious scope of work
- Contribute to and enhance a best practice engineering culture
- Participate in setting the vision for the product
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies
- Act as the bridge between technology/product and business
- Be a culture and values champion, leading from the front
Skills and experience
- Exposure to a wide range of technologies - decide on the best solution to suit the business needs
- Extensive product and technology leadership experience in a variety of industries
- Experience building E-Commerce products
- Designing and implementing Data and Security strategies
- Proven experience building a high performing technical team
- Ability to transcend technology and product and align with key business goals
- Experience managing technical teams across different geographies
- Experience working across startups and ideally multiple successful exits
